Privacy
Short, because this site collects very little.
Draft — not yet legally reviewed
Written to match what the site technically does today. It still needs the registered company identity, a named data controller and a review against the Nigeria Data Protection Act before it is published as a binding notice.
Who we are
This site is operated by [ registered company name ], trading as SPEED Smart Accessories, of [ registered address ]. Questions about this notice can go to hello@speed.ng.
What we store on your device
One cookie, and it is functional rather than tracking: speed_cart.
- It holds only a product reference, a variant reference and a quantity for each item you add to your order
- It contains no name, no contact details and nothing that identifies you
- It expires after 30 days, and clears when you empty your order
- It is set with
httpOnly, so scripts in the page cannot read it
Because it is strictly necessary to provide a feature you asked for, no consent banner is shown for it.
What we do not do
- No analytics or tracking scripts run on this site
- No advertising or third-party marketing cookies
- No user accounts, so no passwords and no profiles
- No card or bank details are ever entered on this site — there is no online payment form
If any of this changes — for example if analytics or online payment are added later — this page will be updated before the change goes live.
When you message us
Orders and enquiries are handled over WhatsApp. Tapping an order or chat button opens WhatsApp with a message pre-filled; nothing is sent until you send it.
Once you do, the conversation happens on WhatsApp and Meta's own privacy terms apply to it in addition to this notice. We keep what you send us — your name, phone number, delivery address and order details — for as long as we need it to fulfil the order, honour the warranty and meet our record-keeping obligations, which is [ retention period to be confirmed ].
We use it to deliver your order and support it afterwards. We do not sell it, and we do not send marketing to it unless you ask us to.
Who else sees it
- Delivery partners — your name, address and phone, so they can deliver
- Our hosting provider, which processes ordinary server request logs
- Anyone we are legally required to disclose to
Your rights
Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act you can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to how we use it. Email hello@speed.ng and we will respond within [ response window to be confirmed ].
